Demonstrates four possible ways to frame mixed methods grounded theory (MM-GT) with a theoretical perspective:
- To demonstrate fidelity to each of the methodologies (a methodological approach).
- To align with the assumptions of a paradigm, like the dialectical perspective or one associated with social justice (a paradigmatic approach).
- To pair with a theoretical framework from the literature (an approach using grand theory).
- To pair with a design orientation (an approach that prioritizes choice of design).
Pages associated with this new book about mixed methods grounded theory and associated resources and activities will be posted as the chapters are completed.
This new book adds to my previous book, Advancing Grounded Theory with Mixed Methods Research (2021), in important ways. The new book concentrates on examples published after 2020, including those who are the first to specifically identify their approach as mixed methods grounded theory MM-GT.
